Office monitoring: How it can be done
Within an office today, computers are most likely connected via an Ethernet network, which is a Local Area Network (LAN). A network camera is a device connected to the network just like any other device. It has its own IP address and is equipped with a built-in Web server. No additional software is needed. All the necessary software is included in the network camera. Axis' network cameras also give you many options, such as motion detection and the ability to have two-way audio, which increases your remote monitoring capabilities. See Options below. You can place the network camera anywhere. It measures only 10x15 cm (4x6 in). Attach it to your existing Ethernet network and view live video on your PC. Just use your standard Web browser. Axis' network cameras give you the possibility to customize certain functions. For example, you can set up the system to store images on the file server in case of a triggered event using FTP over Ethernet.
